About the Artisan:

DISHA is an organization started in 2009 ,it is run entirely by women artisans. Disha's story is inextricably linked with that of the shekhawati in Rajasthan India. Presently Disha is working with 400 women artisan engaged with traditional art called Tie & Dye specialize in Bandhani and Shibori. Disha’s goal is to instill self-confidence and self-esteem in the hearts of women it works with. Disha’s activities include assistance in creating SHGs (Self Help Groups), skills training, promoting children’s education and very importantly conducting awareness workshops on women’s social and legal rights.


About the Craft:

Shibori is a Japanese manual tie-dyeing technique.


Product Care:

Gentle hand wash separately in cold water with mild/liquid detergents. Avoid soaking for too long.
