Chikankari Batua with Mukaish work

About the Craft:

Lavangg’s handcrafted batua is a mix of two traditional handicrafts, Chikankari and Mukaish. The hand-embroidery is carried out over silk and tussar silk fabrics by skilled artisans, and each batua becomes a testament to these two indigenous crafts.

About the Artisan:

Lavangg is a social venture which was started in 2015 and has a client base that has grown steadily. Lavangg promotes craft by developing them into different types of products. Lavangg specializes in Chikankari, Zardozi, Mukesh and Arri. Their product range includes clutches, sling bags and cushion covers, potlis, spectacles/goggles cases, tea-coasters, file folders, tapestry and many more.
