The Nabha Foundation works towards an equitable, prosperous and humane society embodying the principles of holistic and sustainable development inspired by traditions of community and civic leadership. The Nabha Foundation was established in 2003 as a response to a need for a holistic pattern of development and to act as a catalyst for the transformation of Nabha, Punjab. The Foundation is building on the philanthropic activities of the Khemka family and its roots in Nabha by taking up issues of integrated and sustainable rural development, infrastructure up-gradation and heritage conservation.
The prime objective is to provide access to improved and new means of livelihoods for the people of Nabha. Crucial to the Foundation’s long-term strategy to improve livelihood prospects in Nabha with programmes in women’s empowerment, sustainable agriculture, and youth employment, focus on expanding the economic opportunities of small, medium and landless farmers, marginal families, women and youth.
A wide product range of home Furnishings, accessories and stationary using the skills of Phulkari embroidery are created by Nabha.
