Over the years, Raah Foundation through its affiliate Raah Creative Design has created several designer hand printed Warli products that engage over 50 artisans and provide them with sustainable income.

Warli art is one of the oldest traditional art forms from Maharashtra. A tribal indigenous art form that uses geometric shapes to tell stories from their lives, Warli art unfortunately has been on a decline as artisans were not able to commercialise this unique art form. Warli art was done on walls on special occasions. The painting would be done over a brown background which would basically be a mixture of mud and cow dung cakes. The white pigment used to draw shapes and figures would be a mixture of rice mixed with water and gum. Also geometrical shapes made them easy to screen print and copy leaving the original artisans behind. Raah Foundation works with the artisans to hone this intrinsic skill and provides market linkages to their niche bespoke handmade and hand painted products through its affiliate Raah Creative Designs.

The products are handmade and the proceeds directly go to the artisans. Each product has a story of the tribal artisan who has poured his heart and soul into making the creation.
