Rama Arts are practicing Bagru prints and Dabu prints from many generations in Rajasthan. The traditional printers of this region use the mud resist printing technique with vegetable dyes to create densely patterned and luxuriously colored textiles. Rama Arts are working with 7 to 8 artisans including his family members. They are one of the most versatile and techniques from Rajasthan.
Bagru printing is a traditional printing technique that is done using natural colors. Bagru printing is generally done on a blue or indigo background.The patterns and motifs predominant in traditional Bagru prints were geometrical (circular) but were combined with bird, animal and floral forms to create beautiful designs.Dabu prints, on the other hand, are created using a special resist technique (hiding the print from dye).Dabu a mud resist process by using wood block.Rama Arts prints fabric like Kota, Maheshwari, Chanderi, Cotton, Silk etc.Product made by them are saree, running fabric, dupatta and stoles. Indigo sarees are among their main products. They use natural colors for Bagru print and exo-free color for Dabu print. Products take one weeks to print on the fabric. Bagru and Dabu prints are famous for their traditional print and are famous for their intricate floral motifs.
