Hyderabad is known for its wide variety and excellent quality of pearls.Anil Kumar uses Naturals Pearls to makes all kind of jewellery like Moti-Mala, choker, rani-haar, rings, bracelet, earrings ,pendant sets, studs and brooch etc in gold plating. He has 20 to 25 craftsmen working with him.

The saltwater pearls are the most natural types of pearls found.They extract pearls from oysters shells,the pearls are drilled,and then they are boiled for about four days to bleach them and rid them of their dark color. They are placed in glass bottles containing hydrogen peroxide, water, and ether. Then they are stunned for four or five days in glass sun boxes with a mirror base. Finally they are washed and separated through a series of different shapes and sizes.It takes 1-2 days to make one final piece of jewellery. Most traditional Hyderabadi jewellery is made from white pearls followed by pink pearls.
