LEERA is a women led organization based in Delhi which aims to provide artisans the ability to work, learn and gain the deserved confidence and independence by doing what they are skilled at. LEERA - Livelihood Empowerment and Encouragement of Rural Artisans - was born in November 2020, the pandemic which also posed a relief to women artisans of Sujangarh. The term also means 'pieces of fabric' in Marwari, the language locally spoken in Sujangarh, Rajasthan. Leera is an initiative by Disha and Kairavi both are textile designers and an artisan. Bandhani and Shibori are the techniques used for making their products.

Shibori is originally a Japanese resist dyeing technique which has been adopted by the women of Sujangarh, a rural village in India. A place where every knot tied binds the fabric with traditions and each stitch holds passion and manifests expression. The fabrics used are hand dyed using the Shibori technique by artisans Pushpa and Amrita Singh. It takes about 8 hours to hand-stitch the fabric, then it's dipped in water for 24 hours and prepared for dyeing. The fabric is then submerged in a non-toxic/azo free dye for another 8 hours and finally the fabric is allowed to dry and the stitches ripped open for a beautiful pattern.Fabric used by them are cotton, mulberry silk, malmal and linen fabric. Products made by them are table mat, runner ,napkins, scarf, stole, dresses, cushion cover and dupatta etc. Colour used by them are very bright and attractive colors like blue, yellow, red, pink and green etc.
